Russian Caviar is usually the product of some of the largest fisheries in the Astrakhan in the Volga River delta. The river caviar which comes form the fresh water sturgeon is harvested and prepared from some of the best sturgeon roe and produces some of the best caviar in the world. This type of caviar used to be a food served exclusively to the czar of Russia. But these days anyone can taste this wonderfully elegant food.
